Friendly Captcha is a privacy-first, proof-of-work-based CAPTCHA service designed to protect your applications from bots, spam, and abuse without frustrating users with image puzzles. While Friendly Captcha is an excellent choice for strict privacy compliance (like GDPR), we recommend Cloudflare Turnstile as a completely free, unlimited-volume alternative. If you prefer the Friendly Captcha ecosystem for commercial use and anticipate higher traffic, we recommend exploring their Advanced plan, which offers higher usage to scale with your platform. Or consider the Enterprise plan for usage-based billing.

Generating Your Friendly Captcha Keys

  1. Log in or create an account on the Friendly Captcha dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Applications tab and click Create New Application.
  3. Enter a clear Name (e.g., Atomd Key).
  4. Choose your use cases. These entries are for your reference only and do not impact Atomd’s functionality.
  5. Create your key.
  6. Navigate to Protection in the menu.
  7. Enable Zero-Click mode and select the difficulty. We recommend Default for the best balance of security and convenience.

  8. Go back to Application in the menu and copy your Site Key. Click Save Changes.
  9. Navigate to Keys on the sidebar. Click Create Key, and give it a name (e.g., Atomd Secret Key).

  10. Click Generate Key, copy the Secret Key, check I’ve saved this key in a safe place and click Confirm and close.

To complete the integration, navigate to your Atomd dashboard, paste in your Sitekey and API Key, and enable Friendly Captcha.
