hCaptcha is a privacy-focused CAPTCHA service designed to protect your applications from bots, spam, and abuse. The standard hCaptcha service is free for up to 100,000 assessments per month. While hCaptcha is a reliable choice, we highly recommend Cloudflare Turnstile as a completely free, unlimited-volume alternative. If you prefer the hCaptcha ecosystem and anticipate higher traffic, we recommend utilizing hCaptcha Pro, which offers flexible, usage-based billing to scale with your platform.

Generating Your hCaptcha Keys

  1. Log in or create an account on the hCaptcha dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Sites tab and click New Site.
  3. Enter a clear Site name (e.g., Atomd Key).
  4. Under Hostnames, add every domain where the CAPTCHA will run. Please specify your exact domains or subdomains.

  5. Set the Captcha Behaviour to Always Challenge. We recommend setting the passing threshold to Easy or Auto.

  6. Click Save, then copy your newly generated Sitekey from the active sites list.
  7. To retrieve your Secret key, click on your Profile > Settings, then click Generate Secret. Copy the generated string.

In Atomd

To complete the integration, navigate to your Atomd dashboard, paste in your Site Key and Secret Key, and enable hCaptcha.
