Google reCAPTCHA is a widely used CAPTCHA service, but due to its pricing structure, we generally recommend using Cloudflare Turnstile instead. If you prefer to proceed with Google, reCAPTCHA offers three tiers:
  • reCAPTCHA Essentials
  • reCAPTCHA Standard
  • reCAPTCHA Enterprise
We recommend reCAPTCHA Enterprise. It provides 10,000 free assessments per month—matching the Standard tier—but operates on usage-based billing. This ensures your service remains uninterrupted, automatically billing you only for the excess traffic if you surpass your free limit.

How to Get Your reCAPTCHA Keys

  1. Navigate to the reCAPTCHA admin console to generate a new key. A Google account is required.
  2. Enter a memorable label for your site, such as Atomd Key.
  3. Select Challenge, followed by Invisible reCAPTCHA badge.

  4. Add all website domains where you plan to use the widget or enable Challenge Pages. Subdomains must be registered individually (e.g., adding example.com does not automatically cover website.example.com).
  5. Assign a Google Cloud project. If you are new to Google Cloud, reCAPTCHA will automatically create a project for you. If you have used it previously, you can select an existing project from your account.

  6. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and create the key. Copy the Secret Key and the Site Key.

In Atomd

To complete the integration, navigate to your Atomd dashboard, paste in your Site Key and Secret Key, and enable reCAPTCHA.
